I believe the benefits of yoga are available to everyone. Those just beginning yoga and those with years of experience find beauty in what each practice brings. Athletes looking to stretch specific muscle groups and those just beginning an exercise program will both find physical challenge and success. With consistent practice, those with limited mobility may find greater range of motion and more flexibility. Our reactions to daily tension and stress can move towards release and relaxation. Yoga practice is inclusive. No matter one’s life stage, philosophy, personality, physical or emotional health, or even career choice – yoga can be designed to meet you wherever you are. This philosophy syncs with that of YogaFit® Training Systems, International – instruction that allows yoga to be accessible to everyone.
We take from the practice what we require on any given day, be it physical strength or gentle release, emotional balance or spiritual growth. Although we practice yoga together in our classes, we experience our yoga personally as we listen to our bodies for guidance. Yoga is a wonderful way to begin the day, refocus mid-day, or relax at the end of the day. Sharing the many benefits of yoga with all types of students brings me great joy. The combination of college teaching and yoga instruction provides a balance I can direct to students across all domains. My passion for teaching crosses many boundaries.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance® (RYT-200), Partner with YogaFit® Training Systems, International, and have my PhD in Psychology.
